Key Account Director – Vice President, Region LATAM

 

The role is dual in nature and covering the key customer engagements in LATAM region with specific focus on account management of a global telecom operator group with multiple assets in the region.

The Vice President is primarily accountable and responsible for securing the ongoing customer engagement with ownership of P/L, manage the customer expectations, and drive Qvantel’s regional Program/Project teams to achieve the customer delivery commitments (measured in euro, resources, contractual KPIs and customer satisfaction).

Additionally, the person is responsible for identifying new customer opportunities in the region, developing the customer relationships and partnerships to help achieve the growth ambitions of Qvantel in the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for the Key Account’s revenue and profitability, contractual KPIs, customer satisfaction and cashflow
  • Accountable for managing performance of project by ensuring e.g.: project planning, progress follow-up, time schedule, budget & cost control, fulfilling scope and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring & securing sufficient capabilities to fulfil project requirements together with line management.
  • Architects and drives the design and negotiation of major external contracts and acts as the senior point of contact for the project/program.
  • Responsible for pro-actively engaging with customer to manage expectations on executive and operational levels
  • Leads and steers the program delivery teams by aligning internal stakeholders to achieve the targets agreed with customer
  • Constantly monitors the scope creep and drives the change management process with customer
  • Ensures the documentation and cataloging of all key decisions leading to changes in scope, timeline and secures the customer sign-off.
  • Solves complex problems interlinked from own projects to other programs where differing situations might require unique solutions.
  • Mitigates program risks with preventive actions and understands business implications of the program for both Qvantel and the customer.
  • Manages a team of Project/Program Managers to roll out projects for the same customer in different countries

Key requirements

  • Extensive Project and Service Delivery Management experience backed up with relevant qualifications and contract law issues.
  • Self-starter, goal driven with go getting attitude. Problem solving skills with ability to take quick decisions. Hungry for career growth and demonstrated achievements in the roles held.
  • Excellent intra-personal, networking and communication skills. Approachable personality with good customer engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales, Business Development with proven track record. Can carry the designated Sales Quota annually.
  • Management degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
